Updated appearances, plus a treat....

I've got a new signings, readings, and convention appearances coming up over the next few months. The ones I'm certain of are now all listed on the tour schedule part of the webpage.
If you're ever wondering where I'm going to be rearing my ugly, beardy self, that's the place to check.

I'll be near or in Madison a couple of times, and over by Minneapolis this Friday. Well, okay, technically I'll be in Hudson. But that's practically spitting distance. You Minnesota folks have to admit that I'm meeting you more than halfway....

While it might seem that I'm saving all my love for people here in the Midwest. Let me reassure you: I love all my readers, no matter what their geographical disposition might be.

Why are most of the appearances in Wisconsin, then? Well, because those are the places that ask me to come visit. AND they're the places I can make it to without spending more than a couple hours and couple bucks in gas. If your book club wants to pay my way to Texas so I can drink coffee and chat... That's lovely. I'm on board. If your local convention wants to fly me out to talk on panels and sign some books. I'll be there in a heartbeat. But so far the majority of my offers have been local....

And now, the treat. Those of you with a discerning eye for art might recognise the graphic stylings of this particular website. It's done by Nathan Taylor, the guy who did the map in my book.

Anyway, I have it on good authority that if vote for his webcomic, you'll see something that is, in fact, wicked cool...

If that alone cannot slake your terrible hunger for delicious fanarts, then you should vote for his other comic and see what's there.

More later. Now? Sleep.

Hopefully someday you can make it out further west, as I am from Utah.
The art by Nathan Taylor is fantastic. If there is an option to buy a print copy, (similar to what the deviantart website can do) I would consider getting a copy of the pencilled work.

Michelle: I'll probably only be there for an hour hour and a half. Maybe more if there are people around and books for me to sign.

If someone contacts me and lets me know that they can't be there until, say, 8:00 I'd make a point of sticking around until they showed up....

Pat I accept your offer......i'll have you on the first greyhound bus out to tulsa, ok for a fun filled evening of setting in my living room and signing my book. Aaaaaand, seemings how i'm such a nice guy, I'll even spring for an air matress and air it up.

A problem I had with the book...Kvothe is experiencing the first hangover of his life, and yet he trades to take his admissions that day...anyone who has ever had a high quality hangover knows that is ridiculous, he would have traded for tuesday and went and laid down on monday. As it stands he deserved the 6 talent tuition and then some for moderate stupidity, lol.

The fanarts were truly delicious. I loved them.

On another note, I wish thatyou could came farther south, say, Alabamaish? Although you might want to wait till it cools down a bit; we're still in the nineties.

Josie: Boy. You're right. I hate the heat. I should institute a standing policy where I'll never travel anwhere the temprature is higher than, say, 80 Degrees, depending on the humidity.

I was so shocked when I saw the fan art, I actually stuttered in my head. "Wait a minute...it's...it's...it's them!"

That's never happened to me before. Kudos.
